I would like to share another option for 2d symbols. you can draw any 2d symbol you want, and then inside the object you call to the 2d version. which will then display the 2d symbol you called and the 3d nodes will just match the 3d script. you can also draw your 2d version, save the object, then copy that 2d script (just the right parts) into your 3d object, then whola you have a single object that has separate 2d and 3d. this also works to add lines to archicad objects so you can still edit them by nodes.

Hello @Christophe Fortineau It does the job and of course that's the solution in that case but I was talking about automation for some frequently used symbols like electricity symbols in general, for sink for example there are lots of lines to tweak like in wizard mode but here have to do manually, thanks for help !

@Frank Harper Thanks for contribution. But I preffer to have one workable in AC, I solved that by creating those symbols manually. When you have hell of a parameters for closets and shelves and have no customizable sockets and switches this is very profound.

A great collection of site analysis symbols in ArchiCAD. Each item is a separate .gsm ArchiCAD object so you can easily insert them into your drawing, and scale them up or down as required.

It is possible to create the legend using Interactive Schedule. The advantage of this is that it will only display the symbols that are actually in use. This makes a more compact, relevant, and readable table.

Simpler objects know what they are out of the box. Ceiling fan, duh. Some objects have options which change their identity. A recessed fixture can be ordinary, waterproof, a heat lamp, adjustable, etc. A smoke detector can be a CO detector, or a combination. The Type parameter should automatically respond to these details. The schedule will list separate items for each of these differences, because the Type field is different. The symbols will be appropriate for each difference.

Special characters should not be used in naming (technically of anything, but specifically embedded library elements). PC does not play well with special characters, and they should just be avoided. If you can't get by with alphanumeric symbols (and an occasional "_" or "-") then rethink your conventions.

Opening can be labeled, dimensioned, and scheduled just like any other building element, and are automatically shown in 2D drawings with the correct symbols (Figure 7), which can be customized based on required standards.

I add label symbols (crosses) to points throught "Label points" and I can turn on/off "Show point ID" and it works well. Than I add a label for the name and elevation and than I cant use "Show point ID". I suppose it is only label and I should have the possibility to display both separetly.

If you provide the Symbol.shx file with the DWG Output file and tell the end user to place the .shx file in the Text Style Location on their computer for AutoCAD then the symbols will be read correctly because AutoCAD will load the Symbol File into its memory on startup. Once this has been done once then it will work every time thereafter.

Parametric Object Library includes 4 properties: Power Sockets and Switches, Output wire, Heating Floor, Electrical Panel. The main purpose of the library is to simplify the process of drawing up the task to design partitions and electrical power networks, and simultaneously obtaining high-quality three-dimensional model. The objects are built-customizable 2D symbols and familiar interface.

The workshop intends to address the issue of the representation of the project, with specific reference to the notation (symbols) taken in the magnitude scales normally used in the transition from the architectural design of maximum working drawing construction. This will be addressed through prior learning of existing tools of the digital representation, and in particular of BIM.

The first learning module, digital design architecture (8 credits), aims to explore the potential of some software parametric plots dedicated to architecture, such as Allplan, ArchiCAD and Revit, as well as some lessons about the conventions, codes and rules relating to the representation.

In the second module, graphics for the project (4 credits), will discuss other specific software modeling and animation of architectural structures (3DS Max and Cinema4D).

There will be lectures on the use of advanced graphic techniques in Photoshop. ff782bc1db
