PROJECT BRIEF
TASK 1: FACADE EXPLORATION
The students are to design a facade treatment for a standard government G class quarters base on the existing submission plan. Considerations should be given for the utilization of the current space planning, cultural context, sustainability and material. This project should be an initial approach to their second and MAIN design project, which is the ILAJ Home.
TASK 2: ILAJ HOME
Students are required to do an in-depth case study of (one local case study and one foreign case study):
1. Example of Center of Rehabilitation/Health Treatment including Residential Facilities
2. Other aspects - gender, behaviors, characteristics, Islamic and modern habilitation, others facilities such as training or entrepreneurship etc.
3. Determine current issues associated with HIV patients and issues they facing in Malaysian community hood.
4. Behavioral study for design for the HIV patients – physical and cognitive strengths, capabilities and limitations etc to determine specifically appropriate design of the working and living environment of the target users.
