Commentary:

So this is probably by far my unnerving and most personal piece. Due to my odd personality, I was often bullied in school called things like Weirdo, Monster, Freak, Pervert, Creep, Ugly, and various other things. The scared face shows how I was afraid by people after my experiences with being bullied. The frayed hairs show how I would always mess with my hair due to stress to which people would say that I would go bald. The non-existent nose is inspired by Michael Jackson and his plastic surgery as well as an inverse of my triangle shaped nose. The hunched spine is inspired by how people would tell me to sit up or I would mess up my spine and end up with a hunchback that would make me look ugly. The hairy legs are inspired by my real life legs and how people would make fun of me for having excessively hairy legs. Overall, aside from being inspired by my personal experiences, I was heavily moved by the movie The Elephant Man. Joseph Merrick and his life really speak to me as people viewed him as a freak despite the fact that his appearance was something that was outside of his control.
