Description:
A woman with a deformed mouth searches for its next meal in a desolate, blood-stained landscape.
Commentary:
One of my close friends told my style reminded her of body horror with the way I created monsters. So I got inspired to create a shriveled-up old monster with his head and body split apart with mouths in the gaps. However as most drawings go, it evolved throughout the process.
I really like this drawing as I spent two hours, then three hours trying to prefect the anatomy and the colors. Sadly you can't see some of the details due to the compression that Google Sites does on images.
The first version of this art piece. Notice the lack of the red lighting, and much smaller hands as well as the differently shaped nipples. I re-did it after I stood up from my desk and realized: "Hey, arms are longer than that." I then re-did that, along with the lighting to better match my vision, smoothed out the breasts as at the time it was still meant to be a man, fixed the pointy nipples, made the background brighter, and made a foreground to make it seem like she's actually standing on ground rather than nothing.
