The idea came from the Vulture Skull Sketch piece that I drew in class. I wanted to turn it into a full drawing. I was thinking about the Nightmare Creatures drawings by Gerald Scarfe when I came up with the idea to combine a Harpy and a Vulture together to create something new. This drawing was also a good anatomy exercise as I struggled to get the form of the breasts correct and in-line with the rest of the body.
