What can you do with Arc Hydro Groundwater?
Arc Hydro Groundwater consists of three main toolsets: Groundwater Analyst, Subsurface Analyst, and MODFLOW Analyst. Each toolset provides a range of functions to import, edit, display, and export groundwater and subsurface data within ArcGIS. Here are some examples of what you can do with each toolset:
Groundwater Analyst: You can import various types of datasets (wells, time series, cross sections, volumes) into your geodatabase, manage the symbology of layers in ArcMap and ArcScene, map and plot time series, and create common products such as water level, water quality, and flow direction maps. You can also perform spatial and temporal analysis of groundwater data, such as interpolation, trend analysis, statistics, and hydrographs.
Subsurface Analyst: You can create and visualize both 2D and 3D geologic models, starting with classification and visualization of borehole logs, creation and editing of cross sections, and generation of 3D geosections and geovolumes. You can also integrate subsurface data with surface features, such as faults, fractures, contacts, and boundaries. Whether you are in the petroleum, geotechnical, mining or groundwater industries, Subsurface Analyst can help you manage all subsurface data within ArcGIS.
MODFLOW Analyst: You can edit, archive, and visualize MODFLOW models within ArcMap. You can import an existing model into the geodatabase and geo-reference the model so you can visualize and analyze the results in context with other GIS data. You can also modify models from GIS features, such as wells, rivers, lakes, recharge zones, etc. You can also export your model to MODFLOW input files or other formats.
