Tom died from a fall while fishing alone in Monument, CO.

I last saw Tom at our 20th reunion and he was droll and dapper in his straw hat. He was such fun in high school. I didn’t hear of his death until the class of ’67 30th reunion when I saw his brother Dave. I asked Dave about Tom and was so shocked to hear that he had died. So sad.

I remember Tom as a fun loving kind of guy and a wrestler. He was part of the group that went to prom our Senior year. The guys cooked us a wonderful prom dinner. We had a great time that night and I am sorry he has been gone for so long.

Tom was a football and wrestling team mate for three years. He was a big part of the success of both teams. Tom had a lot of enthusiasm and spirit. In football he was on the kickoff teams and I remember he started a routine where the kickoff team would run down the sidelines together one after another and then turn sharply at the 35 yard line and then run out onto the field in a straight line. I am sure that team spirit intimidated the other team.
It hard to see such a good athlete as Tom develop a degenerative spinal column disease which limited his flexibility. Tom was an excellent team mate.
