Martha Dunn

Martha passed away after fighting Cancer on Sept. 22, 2008

She had been fighting cancer for more than 2 ½ years. It became very aggressive in the spring of 2008 and spread throughout her body. By the end of the summer she was confined to a wheel chair, could barely speak and had lost movement in the right side of her body. Martha’s mom, Barbara, also had cancer. The two of them were holding on for each other. When Barbara died on Wednesday, September 10, Martha took a turn for the worse from which she did not recover. Jim Lawrence, Martha’s husband writes that she has been released, now, and is in a better place. She died with dignity and without pain, thanks to the fine folks at Hospice.

I can’t imagine that none of us have not known someone who has struggled with cancer. I just hate that disease. I miss Martha and will always remember our great times together in high school.
