Jeffrey "Jeff" Duhs, 54, died from a head injury resulting from a second story fall off the roof of a house he was building.
Feb. 5, 2006
In December 1972, Mr. Duhs married Sylvia Ann Keating in Littleton. He was an avid reader, fine craftsman, master woodworker and stained-glass artist. He enjoyed music, particularly when performed live, traveling and being by the ocean. Mr. Duhs pursued several outdoor activities and was an enthusiastic sports fan.
Oh Jeff – I still have a hard time believing that you are gone. I met Jeff in the 7th grade and he has held a very special place in my heart from the first day I met him. Every now and then he would turn up in Littleton and our paths would cross – generally at a grocery store. Jeff and Sylvia invited my family to visit them in Marvel, Colorado. We did and I will never forget the 6 of us in their small trailer that served as their home while Jeff was building their dream home.
My husband enjoyed Jeff and Sylvia’s company as much as I did and our last visit was sometime after 2000. Jeff had completed their beautiful home. We enjoyed his children, some meals and a few beers. I will never forget the call from his Mother telling me that he had died.
I have missed our chance encounters and his stops at Ace Hardware where I worked. I loved to watch him get amused about something. The laughter just bubbled up out of him. You could almost watch it happening. How I wish for another opportunity to spend some time with him and hear him laugh just one more time. He was one in a million to me.

What a tragic loss. I remember Jeff from high school as a great guy and he married our ’69 classmate Sylvia. I was so sorry to hear of his passing.
