Passed away at age 55 on June 6, 2005
Her death was very sudden, the autopsy was not shared but we believe it was an aneurism, probably a weakness she had since birth.
Jan Noble was fun, free spirited, and gave me the courage to do things in spite of my questionable self esteem. It wasn't until years later that I learned how truly strong Jan was, both as a teenager and as a loving adult and mother. She was a wonderful friend, and she is missed. Oh - and, Thanks Jan, for all the rides - thank heavens one of us got a car!

I worked with Jan for a couple of years at the Curtis Media Center. We were hired to type up all the library cards and card pockets for all the library books that came into the Littleton Public Schools. She was always so accurate and she kept me on my toes. Not only that, during the school year, because she had a car and I didn’t, she took me to work with her after school. She was always a very pleasant person and I was sorry to hear that she had passed away.

I knew Jan in third grade at Sabin Elementary in SW Denver before we moved to Southglenn. Her parents knew my parents somehow. We were amazed to run into each other at Arapahoe and remained casual friends through high school. In my ‘67’ Annual she wrote “and stay away from golf clubs.” In third grade the Nobles were at our house visiting and I showed her my golf swing – she stood a little too close – I sliced her head open six stitches worth with my back swing. She forgave me, but still had the scar 7 years later. I don’t know if she knew I tried out for the Arapahoe Golf Team in 1967 …maybe it was a good thing I didn’t make the team.
