REMEMBERING DAVID KENNY MCDONNELL
What a wonderful man he was. You might remember him playing at the school dances with the band “Amos”. He was the guitar player with the cool smooth voice. If you heard his chuckling laugh you had to laugh too. No choice. When he found something funny his green eyes would sparkle and his dimples show.
He was married to Sally Thompson (AHS 71) in 1973. They had three children and “Yes” he was an amazingly fun father and husband. He worked for Kelly Moore Paints and moved to San Carlos California to be manager of the main store in 1978. He went on to be a very successful outside salesman for the company. This will get a “What??” from those who knew him. He became a Choir Director and Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Redwood City California.
He passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 1996 at 45 years old from heart issues. Though he died too soon, his kind and loving traits were passed down to his children, Brenna, Sean and Michael. They are now passing those same qualities to their children. Never Forgotten, the qualities of his soul are continuing on forever.
