Ametra ("we," "us," or "our"), developed by LittleAnts Apps, is a mobile utility designed for Android devices. Our primary functionality includes AR-based spatial estimation, distance and height measurement, environmental sensing (including noise, atmospheric pressure, and altitude), and essential utility tools such as a compass, level, and magnifying lens. We are committed to protecting your privacy while providing functional, locally processed measurement and utility tools for daily use.
Data Controller & DPO: For the purpose of global privacy laws, LittleAnts Apps acts as the Data Controller. You can contact our Data Protection Officer at: bowang.liu.lbw@gmail.com.
To provide the services within Ametra, we require specific system permissions. We only request permissions that are strictly necessary for the app's technical operations and physical measurements. The following outlines the permissions requested by this application:
Camera (android.permission.CAMERA) Required exclusively for AR measurement, distance estimation, height calculation, magnifying lens, and protractor functions. The camera provides a real-time visual background for spatial analysis. We do not capture, record, or save any image or video data.
Record Audio (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) Required exclusively for the Noise Detection feature. This allows the app to capture real-time environmental decibel levels. We do not record, save, or upload any audio data; the stream is instantly discarded.
Location (android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) Required for the Altitude measurement function. These permissions allow the app to provide elevation data based on your geographic position. This data is used only for real-time calculation and is not tracked or shared.
Flashlight (android.permission.FLASHLIGHT) Allows the application to control the device's LED to provide illumination and emergency signals (SOS/Strobe) as initiated by the user.
Vibrate (android.permission.VIBRATE) Provides haptic feedback to the user during interaction and indicates successful calibration when the Bubble Level tool reaches alignment.
Dynamic Receiver (com.liubowang.camerameasure.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION) A custom security permission used to manage internal app components safely within the application environment.
2.2. Purposes of Data Processing We process the limited technical information, sensor data, and system permissions requested for the following specific purposes:
Provision of Core Services: To enable real-time measurements (AR, decibels, altitude, atmospheric pressure, angles) and utility features (compass, flashlight) as initiated by the user.
User Experience Enhancements: To provide physical feedback (vibration) during precise measurement operations.
App Security & Stability: To ensure tools operate smoothly within the secure environment of the device without external data dependencies.
We believe in absolute data privacy. Ametra is designed to function without the collection of any personal user data.
Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any identifiers.
Sensor & Measurement Data: All data generated by the microphone, camera, or orientation sensors (including compass and pressure sensors) is processed locally on your device in real-time and is instantly discarded.
Device Identifiers: We do not collect IMEI, AAID, or other persistent device identifiers.
Third-Party Sharing: Ametra does not share any personal data with third parties.
Right to Know About Sharing: Under the CCPA, you have the right to know whether your personal data is shared with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. We confirm that we do not share any personal data for such purposes.
Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal data. You have the right to know that your data is not sold to any third parties.
SDKs: Ametra operates independently and does not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
Retention Period: Since Ametra does not collect personal identifiers or upload data to servers, we do not maintain a database of user data. Any sensor data used during a temporary active session is destroyed after the session concludes.
Criteria for Retention: In the event that you contact us via email, we will retain your communication only for as long as needed to resolve your inquiry.
Deletion: Once the purpose for processing is fulfilled, we securely delete the communication data.
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis for processing any localized technical data is the performance of the contract and our legitimate interest in providing functional measurement tools. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe our processing violates the GDPR.
Depending on your location, you have specific rights:
Right to Access/Know: You have the right to request disclosure of what personal data we collect. (Note: We will confirm that no personal data is collected).
Right to Correct/Delete: You have the right to request correction or deletion of data.
Right to Opt-Out (Including VCDPA Requirements): You have the right to direct us not to process your personal data for the purposes of (i) targeted advertising, (ii) the sale of personal data, and/or (iii) profiling.
How to Exercise Your Opt-Out Rights: Because Ametra is built on strict data minimalism, we do not engage in targeted advertising, sales, or profiling. Therefore, your opt-out status is active by default. To formally exercise your right, contact us at: bowang.liu.lbw@gmail.com.
Hardware & Permission Dependence: The availability of specific features depends entirely on your device’s hardware and granted permissions:
AR Measurement: Requires a device with a compatible AR module.
Altitude: Requires a functional GPS/positioning module and active Location Permissions.
Atmospheric Pressure: Requires a built-in Barometer (Pressure Sensor).
Compass/Level: Requires a built-in Magnetometer and Accelerometer.
If your device lacks a specific sensor or permission is denied, the corresponding function will not be available.
Reference & Emergency Use Only: Measurement results are estimates and vary based on environment and methodology. All data is for general reference and emergency situational use only.
Professional Tool Recommendation: This application is not intended for professional, scientific, or medical use. If you require precise data, please use professional specialized tools.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
