Welcome to my page!
I am Aiqi, an Assistant Professor of Operations and Decision Sciences at Wilfrid Laurier University. I am also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Management Science and Engineering at University of Waterloo.
I work on operations problems where uncertainty, data, and social impact matter. Using data-driven optimization and machine learning methods, I study how to make better decisions in public-sector settings such as urban infrastructure and public health. A recurring theme in my research is designing operational policies that are efficient, robust, fair, and sustainable.
Before joining Laurier, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto for two years. I received my PhD in Operations Research from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and my bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
