AquaMeteo is an independent weather app that shows the forecast and the nearest sea-water temperature for any place. This page covers common questions and how to get help.
Have a question, found a bug, or want to suggest a feature? Email kraloxit.dev@gmail.com and we'll get back to you. It helps to include your device model, your iOS version, and a short description of what happened.
How do I add a location? Search for a place by name, or grant location permission to use your current position. Save a place to keep it in your list of favorites.
Why does the app ask for my location? Only to show the forecast and nearest sea-water temperature for where you are. Location is used only while you're using the app ("when in use"), and you can use the app without it by searching for places manually. See our Privacy Policy.
Where does the weather data come from? Forecasts and sea-water temperatures come from MET Norway (the Norwegian Meteorological Institute), with Open-Meteo as a fallback for sea-water temperature where MET Norway has no coverage. Place names use OpenStreetMap (via the Photon geocoder) and Apple Maps.
The forecast or sea temperature looks wrong. Weather and sea-temperature data are provided by third parties and can occasionally be inaccurate or unavailable. Please don't rely on the app for decisions where inaccurate weather information could be dangerous. If something seems consistently off, let us know.
The app won't load data. Check that your device has an internet connection, then try again — the app fetches data live each time you view a forecast. If the problem continues, email us.
How do I remove my data? AquaMeteo stores your saved locations and settings only on your device. Deleting the app removes all of it. We have no servers and never receive your data.
Weather and sea-temperature information is provided by third parties and is offered without any warranty of accuracy or availability. AquaMeteo is not affiliated with MET Norway, Open-Meteo, OpenStreetMap, Komoot, or Apple.
