Tiger Barbs

Average size: 2–3 inches (5–7.5 cm)

Small description: Tiger barbs are energetic, schooling freshwater fish with bold black stripes and vibrant orange-gold bodies. They are hardy and fun to watch, though their nippy behavior means they do best with active tank mates.

Recommendations: Keep them in groups of at least 6 to reduce aggression, feed a varied diet (flakes, pellets, vegetables, and live/frozen foods), and house them in a tank of at least 20 gallons with plenty of swimming space.
