This Privacy Policy describes how AquaFlow ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have complete control over your data.
1. Information We Collect
AquaFlow adheres to a strict "local-first" data policy.
Personal Data: We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) on external servers.
Usage Data: All data related to your shower sessions, including duration, dates, timestamps, water usage estimates, and streak history, is stored locally on your device.
Device Permissions: The App may request permission to send you local notifications to alert you when your timer phases (Prepare, Flow, Cool Down) are complete. These notifications are generated locally on your device and are not sent from a remote server.
2. How We Use Your Information
Since we do not collect personal data, we do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or user profiling. The data stored on your device is used strictly for the App's core functionality:
To display your shower history and progress.
To calculate your estimated water savings.
To maintain your usage streaks and preferences.
To persist your timer settings between sessions.
3. Data Storage and Security
Local Storage: All App data is stored in your device's secure internal storage (Sandbox).
No Cloud Sync: We do not sync your data to any cloud services. If you delete the App, your data will be permanently deleted from your device.
Security: We rely on the security features provided by your device's operating system (iOS/Android) to protect the local data.
4. Third-Party Services
AquaFlow allows you to "Share" your progress using your device's native sharing capabilities. This action is initiated solely by you. When you choose to share a milestone, the App passes a pre-generated text message to the app you select (e.g., Messages, WhatsApp, Twitter). We do not track who you share with or what platform you use.
5. Children’s Privacy
AquaFlow does not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because the App does not require an account or internet connection for its core features, it is safe for users of all ages.
6. Accessing and Deleting Your Data
You have full control over your data.
Access: You can view all your stored statistics and history directly within the "Progress" tab of the App.
Deletion: You can permanently delete all stored data by navigating to Settings > Data Management > Clear All Data. This action is irreversible. uninstalling the App will also remove all local data.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
