Network and connect with role models
The South Atlantic Medical Scientists Annual Meeting (SAM²) is a regional conference affiliated with the national American Physician Scientists Association (APSA). Like other APSA regional conferences, SAM² is a completely student-organized conference that rotates through several institutions. We are committed to supporting the development of physician-scientists from all training backgrounds – be it MD, MD-PhD, DO, DO-PhD, and others.
APSA regional conferences typically connect trainees (undergraduates, graduates, residents, and fellows) with mentors (established principal investigators, MD/PhD program directors, residency/fellowship directors, and a variety of exemplary physician or scientist role models).
