About Us-

Caleb Sampson and Trevor Adams started A Presdential Podcast (A.P. Podcast) during the Coronavirus outbreak of 2019. It was started as a way to help eat up some of the excess time that was available while in quarantine. The idea came from Caleb's AP (Advanced Placement) US History teacher Mr. KC Perley. This podcast is a presidential analysis and ranking series that started with a look at President Richard Milhous Nixon and the Nixon Administration from 1968-1975. Instead of starting at the beginning of US History with President George Washington, Sampson and Adams decided to start with a presidential case that would be more difficult to decide whether or not the administration was effective in their goals and beneficial for America. A.P. Podcast strives to put forward engaging, knowledgable, and politically neutral content that is appropriate for all ages! Sharing the wonders of US History with the audience in an engaging way that helps teach and entertain is, and always has been, the main goal of A.P. Podcast. With every podcast and every podcast season, our hosts try to answer the question, should the president in question be remembered for the poor things they've done, or the good things they've done, and is history remembering them in the correct way? The idea of spreading knowledge in a friendly and unique fashion is exciting and we hope you will choose to join Caleb Sampson and Trevor Adams on their journey through US History!

Our Ranking and Point System-

A.P. Podcast strives to make our ranking system fair and equal to all presidents. In doing so, we have created what we feel is the best system to carry out these ideals. However, everyone's rankings will be unique to them, and in no way is our ranking superior. That said, in staying true to our ideals, we hope that by using our fun, knowledgable, and engaging ranking system, we can paint an accurate portrait of the presidents and US History, as well as help others learn more and gain a deeper understanding of the history of the United States.

At the end of each season, Caleb and Trevor each separately score the president on a scale from positive five points to negative five points. They then share their individual scores and follow one of four paths:

  1. If they agree, the number they agreed upon will be added to the president's total.

  2. If they disagree, they can choose to average their scores and add the average to the president's point total.

  3. If they disagree, each host is allotted one challenge per every two episodes, with a guaranteed one Challenge per season. If a host chooses to use a Challenge, the opposing host will present a Challenge from a secret list that the challenging host must pass. If the challenging host passes the Challenge, their score for the category will be awarded to the president and added to the total. If the challenging host loses the Challenge, the opposing host's points are awarded to the president and added to the overall total.

At the end of every season, the points are totaled for the president's overall score and the president is added to the overall ranking with their final score.
