Our app, ギャラリー - フォト ビューアー、ギャラリー アルバム, Gallery - Photo Album uses the MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission to enable the Private Vault feature. This permission is required to ensure users' private photos and videos remain securely stored and accessible even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

  • To securely store photos and videos in a hidden, encrypted folder for privacy.

To ensure that users can recover their data after reinstalling the app.

  • Only files explicitly stored in the Private Vault are accessed.

No other files or user data on the device are accessed or modified.

  • All files in the Private Vault are encrypted and hidden from public directories.

Access to these files is restricted to the app's core functionality and cannot be shared with third parties.

  • Users may experience data loss after reinstalling the app, as hidden files cannot be accessed without this permission.

2. Use of Foreground Service Permission 

Our app uses a Foreground Service to provide the “App Change Monitor” feature. This feature allows users to monitor app installation and uninstallation activities on their device only when they enable it manually. 

While this feature is active:

• A visible ongoing notification (“Monitoring app changes…”) appears to inform the user.

• The service runs for a short time and can be stopped at any moment from within the app or the notification panel.

• No personal data, app content, or user activity outside installation/uninstallation events is collected or stored.

• This permission is used only to ensure reliable operation on certain Android devices that restrict background broadcasts.

We do not collect or share any personally identifiable information, and all actions are fully user-controlled and transparent.
