Appolyze WhatsApp Cleaner respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and how user data is handled.
1. What the app does
Appolyze WhatsApp Cleaner helps users review WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business media, identify large or duplicate files, preview supported files, move selected items to in-app trash with backup, restore files when supported, and free up storage space safely.
2. Information and file access
The app does not require broad “All files access”.
The app works using:
Media access permissions provided by Android for photos, videos, and audio
User-selected folder access through Android’s system picker for WhatsApp Media and, if chosen, WhatsApp Business Media
The app only scans media and folders that the user explicitly allows.
3. How accessed data is used
The app uses accessed files only to:
Analyze WhatsApp media categories
Show file count, size, and storage summaries
Preview supported files inside the app
Let users choose files for cleanup
Create backup copies in App Trash before deletion
Restore previously backed up files when requested by the user
The app does not automatically delete files.
4. No automatic cleanup
No file is removed automatically.
Users can review files before cleanup and decide what to delete, restore, or permanently remove.
5. Data sharing
The app does not sell personal data.
The app does not share users’ WhatsApp media files with third parties.
Some limited technical data may be processed by third-party services used for app functionality, such as:
Google AdMob, for advertising
Google Play Billing, for purchases and subscription-related features
These providers may process device-level or advertising-related data according to their own privacy policies.
6. Local processing
Media scanning and cleanup decisions are performed on the user’s device.
File information used for scan results, trash management, and dashboard summaries is stored locally on the device to support app features.
7. In-app trash and backups
When users choose cleanup with backup, the app may keep a backup copy inside the app’s local trash area so the file can be restored later if supported.
Users can also permanently delete those backup copies.
8. Permissions used
The app may request access to:
Photos
Videos
Audio
User-selected WhatsApp Media folders
User-selected WhatsApp Business Media folders, if applicable
These permissions are used only to provide scanning, preview, backup, restore, and cleanup features.
9. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
We aim to protect user data by keeping media processing limited to the device wherever possible and by requesting only the minimum access needed for the app’s features.
11. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.
If changes are made, the updated version will be posted with a new effective date.
