Appledore's Christmas Cake-Off 2018
We would like to thank everyone who joined us. We raised £100 and donated it to Harbour in Bideford.
Whether you're a beginner, a casual baker or a real pro in the kitchen we'd love to welcome you to enter Appledore's FIRST EVER Christmas Cake-Off. The festive season is almost upon us so we'd like to start early and get to tasting some of the delights you will be cooking up for Christmas.
Entries can drop their creations off at Appledore Community Hall between 10:00 - 12:00, and the doors will be open to the public from 12:00 onward.
Judging will start at 13:00 - 14:00 followed by the awards ceremony at 14:30 (approx).
We have something to tickle everyone's fancy so please come and enter as little or as many as you like! the categories are:
- Christmas Cake - Traditional or Christmas themed (please note if there are enough entries we will split this into two classes)
- 12 Mince Pies
- 6 Sausage rolls (but feel free to make more and take them to our Secretary Cris and he will be happy to eat them ☺️)
- Christmas Yule log
- 12 small / cup cakes
- 6 Pastys (again, Cris will be happy to eat any extras 😍)
We want to cater for all ages so we will be having adult and children classes so the whole family can get involved!
- Adults (16+)
- Junior bakers (15 and below)
You can enter as many categories as you want £2.00 per entry (T&C's apply)
