This Privacy Policy describes how Apple Maps Scraper (the "Extension"), operated by ExtensionsFox ("we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you install and use the Extension.

1. Summary
Apple Maps Scraper helps you extract publicly available business listing information from Apple Maps and export it for your own use. Reading and parsing listing results happens in your browser on maps.apple.com. We do not sell your personal information. We only collect limited account, usage, configuration, and (when you use Pro enrichment) website URL data needed to operate the Extension and related services.
2. Information we process
2.1 Information stored on your device
The Extension uses Chrome local storage on your computer to save settings and session-related data, which may include:
- Account identifier (UID / token) used to recognize your account
- Subscription status cache (for example Free or Pro)
- Keyword lists and custom business categories you create
- Free-plan usage counters
- Cached scrape configuration
- Temporary UI preferences
- Extracted listing data you generate until you export or clear it
This data stays on your device unless you clear Extension storage or uninstall the Extension.
2.2 Information processed in your browser on Apple Maps
When you start a scrape, the Extension may read publicly available listing information already shown or loaded in your browser on Apple Maps (maps.apple.com / beta.maps.apple.com). That may include business name, category, address, phone, website, hours, rating, review counts, coordinates, map identifiers, image URLs, and related public listing fields.
This processing happens locally in your browser for the session you started. The Extension does not read your Apple ID password or Apple account credentials.
The Extension may also compute a Plus Code locally from a place's latitude and longitude. That computation does not send your coordinates to a third-party Plus Code service.
2.3 Information sent to our servers
When you use account, billing, quota, configuration, or Pro enrichment features, the Extension may send requests to our API (https://api.extensionsfox.com), including:
- Account identifier (UID)
- Product / app identifier
- For purchase restore: the order ID and email you enter
- Lead usage counts (how many leads were extracted for quota accounting; counts only, not the full lead file)
- For panel configuration: product app ID (to fetch remote settings)
- For Pro email/social enrichment only: business website URLs you choose to enrich
Payment checkout is processed by third-party payment providers (such as Paddle). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
2.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect:
- Your Apple account credentials
- Browsing history outside Apple Maps pages where the Extension runs
- Precise device location for advertising
- Contact lists unrelated to the Extension's features
Extracted lead lists are processed in your browser for display and export. We do not upload your full exported lead files to our servers as part of normal scraping. Pro enrichment sends only the website URLs you choose to enrich, not the entire spreadsheet.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above only to:
- Provide and maintain the Extension
- Authenticate accounts and restore purchases
- Enforce free and paid usage limits and prevent abuse
- Return email and social enrichment results on Pro plans
- Deliver remote configuration used by the Extension
- Provide customer support
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use this information for personalized advertising. We do not sell it to data brokers.
4. Permissions
The Extension may request browser permissions such as storage, unlimitedStorage, tabs, and host access to Apple Maps and our API.
These permissions are used only to run the Extension's features: inject the panel on Apple Maps, save preferences and scrape sessions, open related pages, and call our API.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with:
- Payment processors (to complete purchases and manage subscriptions)
- Infrastructure / hosting providers that operate our API and enrichment pipeline
- Authorities when required by law
Service providers are used only to operate the Extension and related services.
We do not transfer user data for advertising, credit, lending, or resale.
6. Data retention
- Local Extension data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the Extension.
- Server-side account, subscription, and usage records are kept as long as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
- Enrichment requests are processed to return results and are not used to build advertising profiles.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted to and stored by our services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children's privacy
The Extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your choices
You may:
- Stop using the Extension and uninstall it at any time
- Clear Extension storage through your browser
- Contact us about account or billing data associated with your UID or purchase email
- Manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing links in the Extension or with your payment provider
10. Third-party services and Apple Maps
The Extension interacts with Apple Maps and other third-party websites and services (including enrichment and payment providers). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. The Extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
11. International users
Our services may be hosted or operated in countries different from your own. By using the Extension, you understand that information may be processed in those locations as needed to provide the service.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. If our data practices change after you install the Extension, we will update this page. Continued use of the Extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
