App Icon Generator is designed to be a fully client-side utility tool.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, images, or browsing history.
All image loading, canvas drawing, filter effects, and ZIP asset packaging are executed 100% locally inside your web browser. No data ever leaves your computer.
2. Information Collection and Use
We do not collect any personal data or usage analytics.
Uploaded Images: Any images you upload or drag into the extension are processed strictly in-memory inside your browser using HTML5 Canvas. We have no backend servers, and we cannot see or access your images.
Active Tab Screenshots: When using the "Capture Active Tab" feature, the extension takes a temporary screenshot of the active tab. This screenshot is stored strictly within Chrome's sandboxed local client-side storage (chrome.storage.local) and is immediately deleted once loaded into the editor workspace.
3. Chrome Extension Permissions
The extension requests only the minimum necessary permissions to function:
activeTab: Used solely to capture a visual screenshot of the tab you are currently viewing when you click the capture action.
storage: Used to temporarily transfer the captured screenshot data from the popup script to the editor dashboard page locally.
4. Third-Party Services
The extension does not integrate with any third-party advertising, tracking, analytics, or cloud services.
5. Security
Because all data remains on your local machine and operates within Google Chrome's secure sandboxed extension runtime, your images and browsing activities are safe from external interception.
