This Privacy Policy explains how Permissions Manager ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to being specific rather than vague about what the App reads, what stays on your device, and what leaves it.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Overview
Permissions Manager is an offline-first privacy tool. Its core function, scanning the apps installed on your device and analysing the permissions they hold, is performed entirely on your device.
The results of that scan are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere. No account, sign-up, email address, or login is required, and none exists.
The App does use a small number of third-party services for advertising, purchases, crash reporting, and analytics. Those services may process limited information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
2.1 Information processed only on your device (never collected by us)
To produce your risk scores and recommendations, the App reads information through standard Android system APIs. All information is processed and stored locally on your device and none of it is transmitted to us or any third party.
The App processes:
The list of apps installed on your device, including each app's name, icon, package name, version, install and last-update dates, and approximate installed size.
The permissions each installed app declares and has been granted, including special access such as display-over-other-apps, all-files access, usage access, install-unknown-apps, and exact alarms.
How recently you last opened each app through Android usage statistics.
Background sensor access observed for other apps, including whether Android has recorded another app using microphone, camera, or location in the background.
Your connected Wi-Fi network's name (SSID), security type, and whether the network is open or encrypted.
The number of Bluetooth devices paired with your phone and whether Bluetooth is enabled.
Your settings within the App, including risk sensitivity level, notification preferences, chosen language, trusted-app list, and custom alert or automation rules.
This information never leaves your device. The scanner does not upload data or make network requests during scanning.
2.2 Information collected through advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob.
AdMob may collect:
Device advertising ID or equivalent identifier.
Device information such as model, operating system version, language, and general region.
Advertisement interaction data such as impressions and clicks.
IP address to estimate approximate location for ad relevance.
This data is collected and processed by Google according to Google's privacy policy.
2.3 Information collected through Google Firebase
The App uses Google Firebase services, including:
Firebase Analytics:
App usage events.
Screens opened.
Features used.
Session duration.
Device information.
Firebase Crashlytics:
Crash reports.
Error information.
Stack traces.
Device and app state information during crashes.
Firebase Performance Monitoring:
App startup duration.
Screen rendering performance.
Other performance measurements.
Firebase Cloud Messaging:
Device registration token used for message delivery.
Firebase Remote Config:
Configuration values downloaded from Google's servers.
Firebase may derive approximate location from IP address. It does not receive precise GPS location.
2.4 Information collected in connection with purchases
If you purchase anything inside the App, payments are processed through Google Play Billing.
Purchase information may be managed through RevenueCat, including:
Purchase token.
Product identifier.
Purchase and expiry dates.
Country.
Anonymous app-user identifier.
We never receive:
Card numbers.

Your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, or profile information.
Messages, photos, files, contacts, calendar information, call logs, or personal content.
Precise GPS location.
Permission scan results.
App risk scores or insights.
Payment card or banking information.
Permissions the App Requests and Why
Query all packages / installed apps:
Used to view installed apps and analyse their permissions.
Usage access:
Used to determine how recently apps were opened and identify unused apps with sensitive permissions.
Location:
Required only for Wi-Fi security checking because Android requires location permission to access Wi-Fi network information. The App does not calculate, store, or transmit your location.
Wi-Fi state:
Used to check Wi-Fi connection and security type.
Nearby devices:
Used to count paired Bluetooth devices. Device names, addresses, and exchanged data are not accessed.
Notifications:
Used to send alerts, scan findings, and reminders requested by the user.
Request delete packages:
Used to open Android's uninstall flow when the user chooses to remove an app. The App cannot uninstall apps without Android confirmation.
Internet and network state:
Used only for advertisements, analytics, crash reports, remote configuration, and purchase validation.
The App never accesses private content inside other apps. It only reads information Android publicly provides about installed apps.
