Apnaghar Rider (the "App") is operated by [Apnaghar Technologies Pvt. Ltd.] ("Apnaghar", "we", "us"). Riders use the App to accept property-visit assignments, navigate to properties, log visit outcomes, and get paid for completed work.
This policy covers the App and the rider-facing parts of our website. It does not cover the separate Apnaghar customer or dealer apps, which have their own privacy notices.
The short version: we collect what's needed to verify you're a real, licensed rider, to route you to visits and pay you correctly, and to keep everyone on the platform safe. We don't sell your data.
Name, phone number, email address, date of birth, home address, city, and profile photo, collected when you register and update your profile. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the name and email associated with that account.
To approve you as a rider we collect your driving licence, vehicle registration certificate (RC), a government photo ID, and your vehicle's make, model, and number. These documents are reviewed by our verification team before your account is activated.
Bank account details or a UPI ID, collected so we can pay your earnings. Account numbers are encrypted before storage and are only decrypted by our payment processor to execute a payout — see Section 7.
Precise GPS location while you use the App, plus device information (model, OS version, app version), crash logs, and how you interact with the App (screens viewed, actions taken). Details on when and how location is collected are in Section 4.

Because the App exists to route you to physical properties, location is central to how it works. Here's specifically when we collect it:
While the App is open and you're online — we track your position to show nearby visits and navigate you to them.
During an active visit — we track more frequently so the customer can see you en route, and so we can confirm arrival.
In the background, on an active visit — the App keeps reporting location for as long as a visit is open, even if it's minimised or your screen is off, so an assignment isn't lost if you switch apps mid-trip. This stops once the visit ends or you go offline.
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings, but you won't be able to accept or complete visits without it — the App will tell you when this is the case rather than fail silently.
We share the minimum needed with each of the following, and never sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
The customer on an active visit — your name, photo, vehicle details, and live location for the duration of that visit only.
Payment processor — account/UPI details, solely to execute your payout.
Authentication provider (Firebase/Google) — the minimum needed to sign you in and keep your session secure.
Law enforcement or regulators — only where required by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Successors — if Apnaghar is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We keep your account, KYC, and earnings records for as long as your account is active, and for [7 years] afterward to meet tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Raw GPS pings are kept only for a short operational window and are not retained as a long-term location history once a visit is closed.
Data in transit is encrypted (TLS). Bank account numbers are stored using strong, authenticated encryption (AES-256-GCM) and are never displayed in full inside the App after entry. Access to KYC documents and payout details is restricted to the staff and systems that need it to do their job.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection against every possible attack — but we treat your identity documents and financial details as our highest-sensitivity data and design accordingly.
Access & correction — review and update most profile fields directly in the App; write to us for anything you can't change yourself.
Deletion — request account deletion by contacting us. We'll delete or anonymise your data except what we're legally required to retain (e.g. completed payout records).
Notifications — manage push notification preferences in your device settings.
Withdraw consent — you can stop using the App at any time; some data processing (e.g. completed visit and payout records) will still be retained as described in Section 6.
Riders must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we'll delete any such account if we become aware of one.
We'll update the effective date above when this policy changes. For material changes — anything that meaningfully expands what we collect or how we use it — we'll notify you in the App before it takes effect.
