Academy of Language Studies

At the beginning of its establishment, it was known as the Language Centre. It commenced operations in 1996 in line with the establishment of UiTM Penang in Permatang Pasir by offering language courses at the diploma level to students in the Department of Electrical and Mechanical. In 2002, the name of the Language Centre was renamed as the Academy of Language Studies. The Academy of Language Studies has the service of providing Language Skills courses to the local community around Seberang Perai and Penang. Courses such as English, Mandarin, German and French are offered. Language packages are also offered to meet the needs of government and private bodies.
