I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Business and Enterprise, Chatham University in Pittsburgh. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019.
I am an environmental and natural resource economist. My research examines the dynamic interactions between land use, environmental and agricultural policy, and long-run economic development. I integrate tools from applied microeconomics, economic history, and institutional economics to understand how natural resource governance shapes economic and environmental outcomes.
My current research agenda centers on three core themes:
Evolution and implications of post-Dust Bowl land policies and institutions in the USA,
Land tenure, agriculture, and environmental challenges in developing countries, and
Housing markets and broader land policies in the contemporary U.S. context
