Hi! I am Andrea Papini and I am a postdoc in applied mathematics at Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden), under the guidance of Prof. Annika Lang working on theory and numerics of SPDE on manifolds.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, Italy. My advisor was Professor Franco Flandoli.

My research focuses on the theoretical and computational study of SPDEs and PDEs on manifolds, with particular attention to random manifold transformations and their connection to evolving surfaces, using technique from differential geometry, stochastic analysis and spectral numerical scheme. Previously, I investigated the effect of turbulence on coagulation processes such as rain and planetoid formation through SPDE modeling and noise-induced model reduction, with a particular focus on investigating the role of eddy diffusion in turbulent velocity field and a link to coagulation enhancement.
