Andrea Papini

Hi! I am Andrea Papini and I am a postdoc in applied mathematics at Chalmers University of Technology, under the guidance of Prof. Annika Lang working on SPDE on manifolds. 

I obtained my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. My advisor was Professor Franco Flandoli.

My research interest are related to the effect of turbulence in coagulation processes such as rain and planetoid formation, namely: we are investigating the role of eddy diffusion in turbulent velocity field and a link to coagulation enhancement. For such a research we employ techniques from PDE/SPDE theory and model arising from scaling limit of interacting particle systems  under the action of a (random) vector field.
