This is a photo of my Grandfather who went to the First World War when he was 20 years old. He was injured in the war and spent many months in hospital before returning home. Is there anyone in your family who went to war, grandparents, great grandparents, talk with your family to see if they know about any of their stories.
When my Grandfather was in the war he kept a diary. My father still has this diary which I have read and shared with my children. Click on the reading button to find the story 'Finding George' which shows examples of diary entries..
