For the collecting data at vertical and horizontal position two traversing mechanism is used. This project was developed for the “Aerodynamics Lab” at the Military Institute of Science and Technology. Measuring pressure differences at different positions for a jet flow nozzle needs a traversing mechanism where a person can change the vertical and horizontal position of the probe or nozzle. But doing it manually by hand is a hassle and also not accurate. So an automated system using feedback controlled mechanism was designed and developed for this purpose. Two Arduino micro-controller was used to control the stepper motor to achieve these tasks. For user input, a 3*3 matrix keypad was used and to show the output a 16*2 LCD display was used.
