Research Interests:

My research interests centre on comprehending the origins and development of mantle heterogeneity, exploring the redox state of mantle, and investigating the temporal and spatial evolution of Earth's mantle. The significant implications are the long-term retention of subducted crustal material within the mantle and the deep carbon cycle. Additionally, I have a keen interest in unravelling the chemical interactions between Earth's core and mantle through the study of global large igneous provinces. To gain insights into these processes, I conduct fieldwork either independently or in collaboration with my research group to collect rock samples. These samples are then subjected to analysis for their major and trace element concentrations, radiogenic isotope ratios (long-lived Sm-Nd, Rb-Sr, and short-lived Hf-W, Sm-Nd), non-traditional stable (Ca, Mg, Fe, and Zn), and traditional stable isotopic compositions (C-O-S). I carry out these analytical investigations using in-house facilities and through research collaborations.
