I am an economist with a keen interest in dynamic adaptive processes stemming from interactions among bounded rational individuals. My primary focus is on understanding their decision-making, individual and social learning, forecasting behavior, coordination, and more. Of particular interest to me are self-referential systems, where the state variables resulting from the aggregation of these individual processes feed back to influence individual decisions. To explore these dynamics, I employ a combination of theoretical models, computational methods, and controlled laboratory experiments involving human subjects. My latest research interests include utilizing experiments and theory to study the ways that facilitate collaborative transition towards a sustainable future, as well as to identify the behavioral effects of automation for individual decisions and social interactions.

The Research page provides links to my latest working papers and presentations, while the Codes page collects the codes for some of the models I've been developing, such as the Heuristic Switching Model (HSM) and Individual Evolutionary Learning (IEL).

I received my Ph.D. from the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa in 2005 and have previously held positions at the University of Amsterdam. Currently, I serve on the Australian Research Council's College of Experts and hold the position of Associate Editor for several journals, including the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. The CV page has more on my background and current activities.

I teach mathematical methods, microeconomics, applications of nonlinear dynamics in economics, and bounded rationality.
