Antonio Ricardo Alexandre Brasil holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), a Master's degree in Automation and Control Engineering with an emphasis on Intelligent Systems from the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES), and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the same institution.

From 2014 to 2015, he was a PIBIC undergraduate research fellow at IFES, working on Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). From 2015 to 2016, he continued his research as a volunteer researcher in Process Mining at the SEEC Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mateus B. Conrad Costa.

During his Master's degree, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Karin Komati, his research focused on biometrics, particularly eye-movement-based biometric recognition. His subsequent research has focused on Digital Image Processing, Computer Vision, Convolutional Neural Networks, and Deep Learning under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Patrick Marques Ciarelli.

His research interests include Digital Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and the development of intelligent systems for image analysis and pattern recognition.
