DWG Cleaner allows you to clean one or multiple DWG files using a simple and convenient interface.

Available work modes:

• run PURGE to remove unused drawing elements;

• run OVERKILL to remove duplicate and overlapping objects;

• delete empty layers;

• delete selected layers by list;

• delete frozen layers;

• delete switched-off layers;

• delete non-plot layers;

• delete selected layouts;

• delete selected block definitions;

• set drawing units using INSUNITS;

• extract block attributes into separate MText objects;

• save a detailed processing log.

Extract Block Attributes to Text

One of the useful features of the program is the ability to convert block attributes into regular MText objects.

If a block contains a label stored as an attribute, the program can extract that value, create a separate MText object in the drawing, and optionally hide the original attribute inside the block reference. This can be useful when you need labels to be easier to edit, export, or process later.

Safe by Default

By default, the program does not overwrite the original DWG files. It creates cleaned copies instead. This helps reduce the risk of accidental data loss.

An overwrite mode is also available. When this mode is enabled, the program shows an additional warning before working directly with the original files.

Settings Profiles

Cleaning settings can be saved to a separate profile file and loaded again later. This is useful when you often process similar projects and want to reuse the same cleaning rules.

Important Note
