Wearable Medical Devices with patient comfort at the forefront
The Antioch Approach
Traditional treatments for neurological disorders often call for invasive procedures carrying numerous contraindications.
We target symptoms using a mechanistic approach, proceeding from the outside in, enabling patients and clinicians to maintain parallel interventions so the root of the disorder can be treated comfortably alongside the management of symptoms
Our founder & CEo, Mark Lucas, has watched how living with a tremor can be a debilitating struggle, affecting daily routines, independence, and quality of life.
We are committed not only to reducing symptoms, such as tremor, but also to prioritizing users' comfort and accessibility to navigate, read, and wear our devices.
Clinicians are involved early in the research and development process to ensure our devices are low-risk, effective, informative, and user-friendly for physicians and patients.
We were developed with backing from Boston University and the Boston Medical Center network, and we have plans to expand across several hospital systems and universities in the coming months
We believe that to successfully manufacture an effective mechanical device, it must be precisely calibrated to the correct system, signal, and biochemistry. Our tremor technology detects and targets a specific tremor frequency, so care is highly individualized.
our devices are designed to be non-obstructive, mainting a sleek profile that can be hidden under clothing. Its battery power and mechanics support reduced, uninterupted wear. The goal is to preserve maximum function of the affected limb by isolating the specifc interrupter in a simple, specfialized manner.
