The video went viral and within a month, Atomic Ambassadors began delivering hands in their own countries. Today, at 23, Gino has helped more than 750 Felipes and has unleashed the power of 1,000 changemakers in 30 countries to help kids most in need see themselves as superheroes. Gino inspired Marvel to get on board and signed a deal with Disney to print The Avengers-inspired hands for free to distribute to kids at Hand-a-thons in Latin America.

It looks like just another edition of "all-female heroes" trend. I wholeheartedly support strong female and non-binary leading characters, but I also believe it's important to avoid making diversity feel forced. Just because Ahsoka is a female, that should not mean that all her team members and all other protagonists had to be females as well. Ahsoka's team being exclusively female felt a bit pushed, almost like an attempt to overly highlight the power of women... That feels.. so pushed.

Bollywood Hungama gives the scoop about Illusion Interactive and their first leap into an animated feature: Ashoka-The Hero. The movie is about a boy named Ashoka whose father was a policeman, who died in the line of duty. He finds a medallion created by the Emperor Asoka to protect humanity from evil, which gives him superpowers. Ashoka decides to become a superhero and save his city from destruction, while learning about his powers and the meaning of being a hero. Illusion Interactive wants to provide Indian children with their own homegrown hero to entertain as well as be a positive influence.

I'm thinking of axing the "stupa" as a standard special structure and just making the Great Stupa of Sanchi the Mauryan "Wonder." The Edict Pillar of Ashoka will remain a "special structure" buildable by the Ashoka hero unit. Eggbird has made an excellent high-poly Pillar of Ashoka, so we should just expand upon that (add a cool base, then a chakra on the top) for the game version, probably with a high-def normal map.

Yep, the Ashoka pillars should be round and their own separate "structure" built or placed by the Ashoka hero unit. I think a variety of designs (different animals) would be cool, with the important chakra over the top. I would love it if Eggbird or someone can make nice high-quality normal maps for them too to help give them a nice high-poly look as seen in his video.

Although Ashoka's name appears in the Puranas (encyclopedic literature of India dealing with kings, heroes, legends, and gods), no information on his life is given there. The details of his youth, rise to power, and renunciation of violence following the Kalinga campaign come from Buddhist sources which are considered, in many respects, more legendary than historical.

Ashoka was still at Ujjain when Taxila rebelled again and Bindusara this time sent Susima. Susima was still engaged in the campaign when Bindusara fell ill and ordered his eldest son's recall. The king's ministers, however, favored Ashoka as successor and so he was sent for and was crowned (or, according to some legends crowned himself) king upon Bindusara's death. Afterwards, he had Susima executed (or his ministers did) by throwing him into a charcoal pit where he burned to death. Legends also claim he then executed his other 99 brothers but scholars maintain he killed only two and that the youngest, one Vitashoka, renounced all claim to rule and became a Buddhist monk.

On the back of a junky speeder bike, Ahsoka retreated to the Coruscant underworld before a crash landing left her stranded on Level 1313. Thanks to a kind offer from the mechanic Trace Martez, Ahsoka was able to begin making repairs and forged a friendship with the young woman who had big dreams of her own. But Ahsoka quickly learned that not everyone saw the Jedi as heroes in the war, and Trace and her sister Rafa were embroiled in some illegal activity to survive that landed all three in a Pyke prison on Oba Diah. To escape, Ahsoka had to save the Martez sisters and herself while trying to hide her Force abilities and her past.

This is not the only incident mentioned in the text. A Jain devotee was found in Pataliputra drawing a picture showing Buddha bowing to a Jain tirthankara. Ashoka ordered him and his family to be locked inside their home and for the building to set alight. He then ordered that he would pay a gold coin in exchange for every decapitated head of a Jain. The carnage only ended when someone mistakenly killed his only surviving brother, the Buddhist monk Vitashoka (also called Tissa). The story suggests frightening parallels with modern-day fundamentalists who kill cartoonists whom they accuse of insulting their religion.

Ashoka, also known as the walking ero-scene, is my personal favorite among the Throw type heroes. She has high power, decent speed and defense, and a skillset that emphasizes both power and crippling effects. Her all-around usefulness allows her to be positioned well in both the front and middle row. Her passive skill debuffs the speed of an entire file of enemy heroes, which is one of the most useful stats to stack debuffs on. Her normal attack is of the standard Throw variant, with less power in favor of more flexible range and slightly lower delay. Dharmic Law is a quick, cheap skill that inflicts the highly debilitating Curse effect on multiple enemies. It's definitely worth utilizing in boss battles or versus diagonal formations of dangerous enemies.

Ashoka's final two skills are where her real damage potential begins to shine. Mahadevi Throw has great range, solid damage, and applies the Paralysis effect to help slow down the enemy's turns. It's simply fantastic in combination with her Speed debuffing passive. Her hero skill, Pillar of Law, is one of the very few six cost skills in the game, which always signals a skill that packs a serious punch over a notable AoE. This doesn't disappoint, dropping a huge 400% damage modifier on all four corners of the enemy's formation. The fixed range and AoE can make it difficult to capitalize on sometimes, but coupling Ashoka with at least one ally that can manipulate positioning can help to set up for a big finish. be457b7860
