I am an assistant professor at the University of the Philippines School of Economics (UPSE). My current research interests are in international trade and applied econometrics. I use quantitative models to simulate potential welfare, employment, and distributional effects of trade and industrial policies. I am also interested in comparing the implications of different normative principles for "just" taxation. I obtained my PhD in Economics from UPSE in 2022.
I plan to pursue a long-term research agenda in the intersection of trade, public finance, and environmental economics.Â
