Ansys Customization Tools Act v17.0

Ansys is a software that enables engineers to perform various types of analysis, such as thermal, fluid, magnetic, electrostatic, structural, vibration, static, and more. However, sometimes the default features and user interface of Ansys may not meet the specific needs of the users. For example, users may want to customize the appearance and behavior of Ansys Mechanical, Ansys DesignModeler, or Ansys DesignXplorer. They may also want to automate certain tasks or workflows, or expose new features that are not available in the standard product. This is where Ansys Customization Tools (ACT) come in handy.

ACT is a package of tools that allow users to customize and extend the Ansys experience. ACT consists of two main components: XML and Python. XML is used to define the user interface elements, such as menus, toolbars, buttons, dialogs, etc. Python is used to implement the logic and functionality behind the user interface elements, such as reading and writing data, performing calculations, calling Ansys commands, etc. By using XML and Python, users can create their own extensions or apps that can be loaded into Ansys products.
