Advancing harmonized business statistics & administrative data, with a focus on jobs, firm, digital services for sustainable development
I am a Senior Statistician in the Development Economics Vice Presidency -- Private Market (DECPM-IFC), The World Bank Group (WBG). My current work focuses on firm dynamics, labor markets and the harmonization of business statistics and use of firm-level administrative data, with a particular focus on emerging and African economies. I also work on the development of firm survey and business census instruments, harmonization of business statistical systems, and linked employer--employee, tax, customs, and business registry microdata for research and policy purposes. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, I served as a Research Fellow at the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) under the Southern Africa -- Towards Inclusive Economic Development (SA-TIED) Programme. I hold a PhD in Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala, Sweden. I am also affiliated with the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA).
