Advancing harmonized business statistics & administrative data, with a focus on jobs, firm, digital services for sustainable development
I am a Senior Statistician in the Development Economics Vice Presidency—Private Market (DECPM) IFC, The World Bank Group (WBG). My work focuses on firm dynamics, labor markets, business statistics, and the use of firm-level administrative data, with a particular emphasis on emerging and African Economies. I contribute to the development of firm surveys and business censuses, the modernization and harmonization of business statistical systems, and the integration of employer–employee, tax, customs, and business registry data for research and policy analysis. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, I was a Research Fellow at the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) under the Southern Africa--Towards Inclusive Economic Development (SA-TIED) Programme. I was also Fellow at the the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA). I hold a PhD in Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala, Sweden.
