Celebrate the landing of the Perseverance on Mars by exploring the night skies of NW PA with your family! Perseverance will touch down on Mars on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, which is the same day CCSD will host a virtual visit with the director of the Edinboro University Planetarium. In addition, CCSD will share materials and resources for families to help support learning at home! Join us on Feb. 18th at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom for the virtual event!
The event kicks off with a virtual visit with Dr. David Hurd, EUPlanetarium Director. Together we will explore what is in the current night sky. It will be like an experience at the EUPlanetarium! After the presentation, Title I Teachers will meet with parents to review the building-level Title I Parent Engagement Policy using the breakout rooms in Zoom. Parents are asked to review their building’s policy and bring suggestions to the virtual meeting.
For 4 weeks following the event, parents are invited to view recorded sessions offered by CCSD Title I and Special Education Educators that offer tips and resources for helping your child succeed in school. After viewing the recorded sessions, parents are invited to submit your feedback via the feedback form.
