All Together Now
Remake Learning/Title I Event
We hope that you and your family are planning to join us for the STREAM Title I/Remake Learning Days All Together Now event scheduled for May 4th at the Meadville Public Library. The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and begin at the Meadville Public Library. Attendees will walk a path through Meadville to the Market House and back to the Library.
S - Science - Learn about French Creek and Mill Run as it relates to science and math. Did you know our city is built on top of Mill Run which feeds French Creek? Join representatives from the French Creek Conservancy at the Academy Theatre to learn about the water that flows under our city!
T - Technology - Engage in a Goosechase - think electronic scavenger hunt! Download the Goosechase App if you don’t already have it. Directions for joining the Goosechase will be provided at the Library. (The Goosechase runs from May 4 - May 26th. The family with the most points wins. Here's the join code: RD37QE)
R - Reading - Following Mill Run, meet the Title I Teachers at the Market House to learn about the Big 5 Pillars of Literacy and activities you can do with your child(ren) around phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. And, a local author, Steve Ciabattoni, will read his book, Finch’s First Flight: How one little bird overcame his fear of flying, at the Library!
E - Engineering - Visit the Children’s STEM Area at the Library!
A - Arts - Visit Hatch Hallow and exit through their back door to see Mill Run “daylight” in the area behind their store. Receive an art supply to be able to draw your own stream.
M - Mathematics - Learn about French Creek and Mill Run as it relates to science and math from our friends at the French Creek Conservancy.
