Brief History of the EUR

The Eastdike United Republic first began as a small mafia named “The Faded Blues Mafia'', founded 1/5/2024 by clearly_dizz. The server was quite small, with less than 10 members before the server fully changed to the “Eastdike United Democracy” on January 27th, 2024. The EUD was the first government server to claim Eastdike as its official territory. The server slowly began to see growth and the name was officially changed to the “Eastdike United Republic” on February 7th. (The previous flags and other assets can be found below)

Sessions began getting hosted frequently and interest in government-themed clans began to rise during the month of February. Even though others began to create their own servers, the EUR became the first active Eastdike nation, and this continues today. As EUR’s growth continued, key members such as Theguywiththeapples, xSavagecrewx, Sanopiola, and BrodespsOfficial joined the state, but little did they know what would become of them.

On February 25th, the state began thoughts of partnering with the Republic of Pahrump, and this small thought eventually led to the official United Nations of Anomic. The very first members were the Republic of Pahrump, Eastdike United Republic, Democratic Republic of Okby, and the Worker’s State of Arway. With the help of Sanopiola, the state’s first ambassador, The UNA improved foreign relations with other nations and official borders were created. The EUR created a coalition named NEDSC (Nations Economical Defensive Strategic Coalition) to enhance diplomatic relations with other nations recognized by the UNA. The NEDSC still stands today, along with a few other coalitions that were created at the time. Without the creation of the UNA, all nations in Anomic would be much different than they are today.

On March 2nd, the first official State Election began. xSavagecrewx became the State’s first elected Deputy Governor. Around March 5th, the server entered nothing short of a “Dark Age”, with constant arguments on the rise. Multiple members were lost during this period and two important government members, Theguywiththeapples and Realgammagamer, left the state because of this incident. After the Dark Age Incident, Rules were re-established and relations within the server began to improve shortly after. Theguywiththeapples rejoined, but Realgammagamer was lost forever. The server began improving and growth continued further.

Shortly after the Dark Age Incident, Governor clearly_dizz had to step away from the State for about 5 days. The first ever State Congress members were appointed because of the Governor’s absence. Those members include Sanopiola, Theguywiththeapples, and BrodespsOfficial. Activity and growth within the EUR began to rise. The Governor returned shortly and the state continued its usual activities.

On March 3rd, the EUR established its very own border system (proposed by Sanopiola and created by clearly_dizz), allowing the citizens within the state to stay safe from possible threats. The border continues to keep the citizens safe today, and has even prevented the “Spartaa” clan from attempting raids within the state.

During the month of March, the server’s growth slowed and almost everything in the EUR stayed the same, besides some new roles and receiving a new uniform. Today, the server stands in the same condition with 3-5 hour sessions hosted every weekend and shorter sessions hosted throughout the week. Activity seems to stay about the same weekly, with most activity apparent during Friday and Saturday nights. Elections continue on the first Saturday of every month.
