Hello! I am Annoy Sengupta, a FARE (Fellowship for Academic and Research Excellence) fellow at IIT Kanpur. Recently, I submitted my PhD thesis titled "Combinatorial explorations in the category of representations over zero-relation algebras" under the supervision of Dr. Amit Kuber.
During my undergraduate days at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, after working on "Inaccessible Cardinals" with Dr. Sourav Tarafder, I developed an interest in the foundational part of Mathematics - Mathematical Logic, Set Theory, and related areas. Later on during my M.Sc. at IIT Kanpur, I was introduced to "Category Theory" by my PhD supervisor, which deals with mathematical abstraction and gives a completely new viewpoint towards mathematics. During my PhD, I was working with the representation theory of finite-dimensional (bound) quiver algebras.
Apart from mathematics, I love deep discussions on the philosophical aspects of life. I am fond of having fun-filled optimistic interactions involving creativity and investigation.
Other hobbies include watching cricket, coding, and indulging in music. Recently, I have developed an interest in web designing and am looking forward to learning more about it. I am always keen to learn new skills and work deeply on them.
