I am an assistant professor of accounting at Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. I earned my PhD in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley and my BA in economics and finance from Tsinghua University.

My research spans a variety of topics at the intersection of accounting and financial economics. In particular, my recent work looks at regulators' information acquisition and analysts' forecasts around non-information events. My research has been published in premier academic journals such as the Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, Review of Accounting Studies, and Contemporary Accounting Research. It has also been featured in major media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Economist, Reuters Breakingviews, and Seeking Alpha. Outside of academia, I spent some time with a leading hedge fund devising quantitative equity strategies. When not at work, I am most likely to be found watching a movie, playing tennis, or wandering around a woodland.
