Dr Anne-Sophie Kaloghiros
I am a Reader in the Department of Mathematics at Brunel University London, and a director of the Centre for Mathematical and Statistical Modelling.
My research interests are in algebraic geometry, birational geometry of higher dimensional varieties.
geometry of Fano and uniruled varieties including explicit birational geometry, classification, K-stability and moduli constructions.
My research is currently supported by EPSRC grant EP/V056689.
I am a firm believer Federico Ardila-Mantilla's axioms
Axiom 1. Mathematical potential is equally present in different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
Axiom 2. Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences.
Axiom 3. Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
Axiom 4. Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
