Ann Arbor/ Ypsilanti No Kings 4: Vote Early Celebrations!!
Come join us for the six early voting events occurring throughout Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti on October 17, 2026. Rallies, marches, visibility protests, voter education, flyering, and family-friendly fun as we get ready to vote!
Ann Arbor Indivisible is sponsoring two events:
A Rally and March at Veterans Memorial Park
There is parking and bus stops immediately adjacent to the park on Dexter Avenue and Jackson Avenue.
There will be speakers, early voting information, voter registration table, music, discussion groups, games, a children's table and a short march to the absentee ballot drop box on Jackson near AA Fire Station 3. The festivities start at 3:30.
A Four Corner Visibility Event
Jackson, Maple and Stadium from 11 am - 1 pm. Help us promote early voting with signs!
Ypsilanti Indivisible NK4: Vote Early!
Rally and March at Riverside Park, Ypsilanti MI 48197 from 10 am - 12 pm. Parking is available on the street and the Ypsilanti Transit Center is steps away from the park.
“Saving Democracy” Indivisible Northside Ann Arbor
Vote Early visibility protest at corner of Washtenaw Avenue and Huron Parkway. Meet in front of Qdoba, 3279 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor at 2 pm. Park behind Qdoba.

Voter Information flyering outside the U-M football game. Meet at Main and Pauline at 2 pm. Plan to walk, bike or take public transport.

Mary Beth Doyle Bridge
Visibility Protest on the pedestrian bridge over I-94 at 12:30 pm - 2:30. Drive to Pilgrim Park (2966 Verle Ave.) near the intersection of Platt and Verle Ave, continue west on Verle until it dead ends at Mary Beth Doyle Park. On street parking is available. Short walk along the path into the park keeping to the left (south) to reach the bridge.

Want to try canvassing but don't want to go it alone? Join us on Sunday, October 11th at 3:30 pm for our 3rd and final Wayne County Group Canvass. Wayne County is a focus area because our endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, did not win the county. We will get trained, practice, pair up, and hit the doors together. Carpooling from Ann Arbor is available, or you can meet us in Canton. Email annindivisible@gmail.com for carpool information. Register with the link below.

Join us for a special screening of Everyone is Lying to You for Money on Saturday, August 22, at 6pm at Touchstone Cohousing, 560 Little Lake Dr., Ann Arbor.
We’ll have snacks and a discussion afterwards. This entertaining film explains cryptocurrency (“the biggest Ponzi scheme in history”) in terms we can all understand.

Inspired by Ann Arbor Activists Read, we're inviting our community to read and discuss books about activism, democracy, justice, and social change. This will give us a common language and understanding as we work to build this massive non-violent movement. And it will be fun!
We will discuss our first book, Why Civil Resistance Works: The Strategic Logic of Nonviolent Conflict, in September. Time/date/location are all TBD. Register for updates.

Come celebrate America's birthday with us at the Ann Arbor 4th of July Parade. Meet at 9:30 at the corner of Thompson and Jefferson. Wear an Indivisible shirt or red, white, and blue. We will chant, sing, and pass out flyers and candy.

ICE OUT for Good!
Call To Action - Phone Bank
Masked federal agents are terrorizing our communities. They're teargassing babies, kidnapping our neighbors, shooting clergy in the face with chemical projectiles, and killing innocent people.
But right now, we have an opportunity to rein in ICE at the federal level. ICE and Border Patrol are part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which is currently funded only through January 30. The new funding bill that’s currently being written is our opportunity to put significant restrictions on ICE and ensure it doesn’t get a single penny more to enable its brutality.
Join us on Wednesday, January 21st, at 1 p.m. EST to call voters in key states and encourage them to call their senators to demand that they rein in ICE's terror tactics.
Vigil and Rally: Get ICE Out for Good!
On Friday, January 9, Ann Arbor Indivisible held a candlelight vigil to honor Renee Nicole Good and all the victims of ICE violence. Hundreds of people gathered at Liberty Plaza downtown, remembering Good as a poet, mother, and loving community member. Several local poets shared their own poems as well as Good's prize winning poem, "On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs."
The next morning, Ann Arbor Indivisible led a march to City Hall, demanding political change to get ICE out of our communities. Hundreds more AAI and community members turned out with signs, banners, ice scrapers, whistles, and even a penguin costume. Local poets read and Washtenaw County Commissioner Yousef Rabhi called for a county-wide ban on ICE activity.
NO TRILLIONAIRES! NO KINGS!
We picketed the Tesla dealer in Ann Arbor on November 15 to protest Tesla paying a trillion dollars to anyone, especially Elon Musk, the former head of DOGE, a group that vandalized the federal government.
At a time when working people around the world are struggling, this kind of excess exposes the moral bankruptcy of Musk and his billionaire buddies. We’ve watched as the billionaire class uses its wealth to rewrite the rules, break labor unions, fuel extremist politics, and harm people and communities. No more!
No Trillionaires! No Kings!
On November 15, #TeslaTakedown is calling for a global Day of Action to take on Musk’s obscene new pay package and say NO TRILLIONAIRES.

Good Trouble Lives On!
Target abandoned its DEI programs,
so we picketed Target for their return.
On July 17th, Ann Arbor Indivisible made good trouble at our Target picket! We chanted, sang, recruited, and asked Target to fulfill the promises it made to the Black community in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. DEI is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Tricia Paff (AFGE), Yousef Rahbi (Washtenaw County Commissioner), and Carrie Rheingans (State Representative) inspired the crowd, as did the honks and cheers of rush hour drivers.

Parading Against Trump
Ann Arbor Indivisible’s marchers had fun at the Ann Arbor Independence Day Parade! Crowds applauded our “No Kings Since 1776!” and “Slow, block, defeat Trump” signs and banners. It was a perfect summer morning for marching, chanting, singing, handing out candy, and spreading the word that we are helping to build a massive, broad-based, non-violent movement to challenge Trump. We had a great No Kings march in Ann Arbor!
No Kings Day was fantastic in Ann Arbor! We helped to organize this event where over 7,000 people rallied and marched! Over 2,000 No Kings events around the nation said to the would-be king in DC that we are standing up for American democracy, and rejecting his dictator-style $45 million birthday parade and the rest of his corrupt and authoritarian regime. We don't do kings in the USA!
