Ann O'Leary, Ph.D.

Ann O'Leary is an American research psychologist who was trained at the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University. Her primary research specialty is in HIV prevention, mostly conducted while employed in the Senior Biomedical Research Service at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2000 to 2020. Prior to this, she served in the Psychology Department at Rutgers University (1986-1999) and conducted research in Health Psychology and Perception.

She has won numerous awards, including a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship, the Distinguished Service Award from the American Psychological Association's Committee on Psychology and AIDS, and a Lifetime Scientific Achievement award from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Behavior and Social Science Research Group in 2019.
