Category: Design Idea Competition
The challenge of the idea competition was to re-purpose the abandoned New York State Pavilion at Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, New York. It was originally designed by Architect Philip Johnson for a celebration of New York World's Fair in the year 1964. The National Trust for Historic Preservation has organized the idea competition to initiate the preservation opportunities and rejuvenate the park by re-purposing the pavilion.
