I am Ankit, currently working as PostDoctoral Research Fellow in Poultry Genetics at Royal Veterinary College, UK under the One Health Poultry Hub project.

I am an engineer with a doctoral degree in the subject of Biotechnology.

My research interests includes metagenomic investigations of animal-associated environments and soil microflora. I am equally skilled in performing wet-lab experiments as well as data analysis using UNIX based tools. I also have hands-on experience of preparing NGS libraries and performing sequencing runs on different NGS platforms like Roche-454 GS-FLX, Ion Torrent PGM, Ion S5 and Illumina MiSeq

I am also available for freelancing work on NGS data analysis as well as consultancy for NGS experiment designing with special focus on Metagenomics and WGS.
